No sensors. No subscription to a launch monitor. Just your phone, propped up wherever you've got room to swing.
Two minutes to first feedback. Open the link on your phone, allow the camera, and you're swinging. Add it to your home screen and it opens full-screen like any other app.
Before you swing a club, SwingCheck asks you to turn your shoulders as far as you comfortably can, both ways, a few times. It scores your trunk turn to each side and your hip hinge against what a full swing wants, then sets your swing-length and posture targets from the result. A 55-year-old with a stiff back and a 25-year-old gym rat should not be coached to the same numbers — and with SwingCheck they aren't. You can skip it and come back later.
Lean it against your bag, a bucket, a fence post or a chair — face-on (looking at your chest) or down-the-line (looking down the target line from behind your hands). The app reads the phone's tilt and tells you when it's level, and shows you where to stand so your whole body is in frame.

Setup is coached one item at a time — stance width, spine tilt, forward bend, knee flex, shoulder tilt, arm hang, head position — with a spoken cue for each. When everything's in the window you hear "SET" and feel a buzz. Bad shots start before the club moves; this is where most weekend golfers lose them.
SwingCheck stays silent while you swing. It detects the shot on its own — no tapping start and stop. Hit a ball or swing at air; it makes no difference to the analysis because the app reads your body, not the ball.
The moment the shot's finished, you get a shot score out of 10 and the three things that mattered most, spoken by your coach. Not twelve numbers to decode — three fixes, in priority order. Things like sway going back, shoulder turn, weight to the front foot, posture at impact, head height, tempo.
Every row is colour-coded — green 7.5 and up, orange 5 to 7.4, red under 5 — and you can tap any row to see the measurement, the target band and that row's own score.
Tap Why? or Drill? and the coach explains, or ask it anything with the mic. It remembers the session, so "is that better than the last one?" is a fair question.
Pick 3, 5 or 10 shots. Before you start, tell the app what's been happening on the course — "everything's going right", "thin with the irons". At the end you get one pattern summary that ties your on-course problem to what the camera actually saw. That's the conversation you'd pay a pro A$120 for.
Every shot is clipped from address to finish and saved in a calendar Log on your phone. Replay any swing, any day, and see the difference a month of practice makes. Several players can share one phone, each with their own profile, mobility numbers and log.
SwingCheck uses an on-device body-tracking model to follow your joints through the swing. From that it measures:
It cannot see your clubface, strike, ball speed or ball flight, and we won't pretend otherwise. What it can see is the body movement that causes most of those problems in the first place — which is exactly what a coach watches from the side of the bay.
Each measurement has a green target band. Inside it scores a full 10. Outside it, the score drops the further out you are — at the edge of the orange band it's 5, and it keeps falling from there. The shot score is a weighted average: the faults that matter most count most, so a sway going back weighs about three times a hip-turn miss. Setup works the same way, with the first checks weighing heaviest, and a Range set averages its shots.
The mobility test isn't pass or fail either. Each movement is scored against what a full swing wants — a 70° trunk turn or a 40° hip hinge is a 10 — and your results set your own swing-length and posture targets, so a stiffer golfer isn't marked down for being built the way they're built.
Video is analysed on your phone and never uploaded. If you turn on the AI coach, it receives a short list of numbers about the swing — never footage. The full privacy policy has the detail.
